The American Red Cross Carolinas Blood Services Region will hold an emergency drive to replenish supplies from 3:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the fellowship hall of Covenant Baptist Church, 165 Craig Manor Road.
The supply at the Charlotte Blood Center in Charlotte is at a critical level. All blood types are needed, said Kara Dudley, communications program manager for the Greater Carolinas Chapter.
The Carolinas Blood Services Region provides blood to 103 hospitals and must have 1,600 people give blood and platelets each weekday to meet the needs.
