John Delfausse filed to run for Lancaster County Council District 1 on Wednesday, March 20, at the Lancaster County Voter Registration and Elections Office.
He is the first Forward Party candidate to run for office in Lancaster County.
The Forward Party is new to South Carolina, and is not left- or right-leaning, but is looking “Forward” to support candidates who will work across the aisle to support the needs of their constituents.
Delfausse, 77, has lived in and supported the Indian Land community for years as an advocate for the roads and its citizens. He was an active board member of the Indian Land Action Council, and is now a member of the Lancaster County Transportation Committee.
