COLUMBIA, S.C. — The annual South Carolina Teacher of the Year Gala in the Gardens event, held April 25 at the Governor’s Mansion in Columbia, was an afternoon of celebration, recognition and appreciation for the teachers who dedicate themselves to shaping the future of our state’s children and youth.

The yearly event provides a platform to recognize exceptional educators from school districts throughout South Carolina.
