Vote for fresh, new leadership — Haley
In this emotionalized election season, there is one common phrase that I have heard repeatedly, “the lesser of two evils.” It doesn’t take a D.C. insider to know those making the comments are referring to President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump.
A less well-known, but far more edifying insight was penned by C.H. Spurgeon, an influential British theologian in the 19th century. He said, “Of two evils, choose neither.” As I hear Biden and Trump, these words resound in my head.
And then there is Nikki Haley, a former governor, renowned stateswoman, Christian, wife, mother and patriot. The words that I would use to describe her include honest, hopeful, honorable and hardworking.
When I consider Nikki Haley’s youth, it reassures me that she understands what it is like to live in this amazing country and thrive without the benefit of family fortunes and lifestyles that are cloistered and inaccessible to most hard-working Americans.
Examining her political experience, I find examples of collaboration, innovation and compassion. It is my genuine belief that a Haley presidency would launch our country into a bright new era of less vitriol and anger and more healing and reconciliation.
A vote for Nikki Haley is a vote for the very heart of America. Our future depends on having fresh, new leadership to move us forward. And there’s the fact that she is the only one of the three not being indicted for crimes and misdemeanors. Now that is something to think about!
