ILHS FFA plant sale: Indian Land High School is hosting the FFA plant sale April 10-13, open 9:30 a.m.-4:10 p.m. April 10-12 and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. April 13. April 10 is only open for teachers and the rest of the days are open to the public. All proceeds go to the agriculture and FFA program.

KVLT bird counts/nature walks: The Katawba Valley Land Trust will hold two walks at 8 a.m. April 20 at Rocky Creek and Landsford Canal State Park. The Rocky Creek walk will begin at the Rocky Creek Trailhead parking lot at 1030 Chester Ave., Great Falls, led by retired state park biologist and naturalist Irvin Pitts. The other walk will begin in the lower parking lot at Landsford Canal State Park, 2051 Park Drive, Catawba, and retired Winthrop University biology professor Dr. Bill Rogers will lead it. Surplus food is available for the first 100 vehicles. Requirements include a S.C. photo ID and a piece of mail with your correct name and address to indicate that you live in Lancaster County.
