    A host of Lancaster County prep basketball players has been selected to participate in the S.C. Basketball Coaches Association Elite Camp this weekend.

    The boys players will meet at Ridge View High School on Saturday, Oct. 12, while the girls are slated to report for the one-day session on Sunday, Oct. 13.

     KERSHAW – Andrew Jackson High School senior player Jared Hayes sees action on both sides of the football, but given the choice, he prefers the defense.

    So far, the Volunteers linebacker has proven so with a team-leading 60 tackles, two tackles for loss, a fumble recovery and an interception.
