    FORT MILL – Lancaster prevailed in a battle of Class AAAA top 10 girls teams on Tuesday, Feb. 4 in Fort Mill.

    The No. 6 LHS girls finished strong to gain a 55-37 win over No. 10 Fort Mill.

    The No. 5 Andrew Jackson Lady Volunteers rolled to help AJ earn a Region IV-AA hoops home split with Cheraw High on Tuesday, Feb. 4.

    The 16-3 Lady Vols, 7-0 in region play, started fast to fuel a 69-34 victory over the Lady Braves.

    KERSHAW – The women’s soccer pipeline from Andrew Jackson High School to Limestone College added a strong link Wednesday morning, Feb. 5.

    AJ Lady Volunteers’ senior soccer standout Taylor Blackmon will join the Saints after signing with the Gaffney college in the AJ media center.

    The S.C. State University track and cross country programs pulled a recruiting coup Wednesday, Feb. 5 in the Lancaster High School conference room.

    The Bulldogs landed Lady Bruins’ track and cross country standouts, sisters JeNae, Jazmyne and Jennell Jones.

  • Vols notch two wins over Eagles


    KERSHAW – Andrew Jackson, in a make-up game, came out looking good in a sweep of the rival Central Eagles on Saturday, Feb. 1 at the Volunteers’ gym.

    The fifth-ranked Lady Volunteers, with a fast start, cruised to a 74-48 win and the AJ boys capped the hoops broom job in a 58-54 victory over the Eagles.
