• Knight Memorial Race adds Mid-East Open Wheel Modified Tour Series

    The second annual Phillip Knight Memorial Race on June 22 has gotten even bigger for the 2019 racing season.
    The Mid-East Open Wheel Modified Tour Series has been added to the LMS racing card for that special night.
    The race now has nine divisions of track action with the Blue Ridge Outlaw Late Models, Mid-East Open Wheel Modified Tour, Super Stock, SECA Crate Sportsman, Renegade, Pure Stock V8, Thunder Bomber, Vintage and Extreme 4 all competing on this night to honor my father.

  • Blue Ridge Outlaw Late Models set to headline March 23 race

    Coming fresh off the two-day racing event on March 15-16, which will be Pepsi night at Lancaster Motor Speedway, the following Saturday will be headlined by another premier Late Model Series that travels the Carolinas, Georgia, Virginia and West Virginia.
    The Blue Ridge Outlaw Late Model Series will be coming to LMS for the first time on the 2019 racing season on March 23.
    The Blue Ridge Outlaw Late Model Series has become popular over the past four years at LMS, with the racing fans getting used to seeing the series here on a regular basis.

  • SECA Crate Late Models headline March 30th race

    After three straight races to open the 2019 Lancaster Motor Speedway season with a special Late Model Series coming to the big half mile, LMS will have its  first regular night of racing action on March 20.
    All the track’s regular divisions will be competing, including the SECA Crate Late Models, Super Stock, SECA Crate Sportsman, Renegade, Thunder Bomber, Pure Stock V8, Vintage and Extreme 4.
    LMS officials are expecting another packed out grandstand and pits for the racing night.

  • LMS officials set car show, open practice

    Lancaster Motor Speedway officials have set March 9 for the track’s annual car show and open practice.
    Lancaster Motor Speedway is the only track that does the car show before the racing year cranks up for a new campaign.
    This allows the fans and other drivers to see what the cars look like and it allows the fans to take pictures with their favorite drivers and talk to them about the new season during the car show.
    Last year, track officials had a successful open practice when some 50 cars turned out to test the LMS surface.

  • LMS opener’s two-night show

    In much the same fashion as the 2018 Lancaster Motor Speedway season cranked up, LMS will have a two-day show to start the 2019 racing season.
    On Friday night, March 15, 2019, Lancaster Motor Speedway will have its opening night.
    Divisions running will be SECA Crate Late Models paying $1,000 to win, Super Stock, SECA Crate Sportsman, Renegade, Pure Stock V8, Extreme 4 and Vintage.

  • Blue Ridge Outlaw Late Models making two trips to LMS

    During the 2019 racing season, one of the most popular and fastest-growing Late Model Series around in the Blue Ridge Outlaw Late Model Series will pay two visits to Lancaster Motor Speedway.
    The Blue Ridge Outlaw Late Model Series has been a fixture at LMS the past four years, competing in some of the most competitive Late Model races at the half-mile track over those four years.
    Their first trip to LMS for the 2019 racing season is March 23 as the Blue Ridge Outlaw Late Models will headline the night of racing.

  • Ultimate Super Late Model Series Coming To LMS Twice

    Earlier this week, Lancaster Motor Speedway officials announced the World Of Outlaw Super Late Model Series is coming to LMS on June 1.
    The latest from dirt track news has the Ultimate Super Late Model Series will invade Lancaster Motor Speedway twice on the 2019 racing season.
    On July 6, 2019 the event will be paying $4,000 and on Aug. 31 $5,000 to win. The Ultimate Super Late Model Series is one of the best in regional racing for the Super Late Model drivers in the Carolinas and Georgia.

  • Heavy rain leads to rescheduled races

    Due to heavy rain over the weekend, Antioch Motor Speedway and Sumter Motor Speedway canceled their races.
    Antioch has rescheduled their race for the third straight weekend to Dec. 8. Sumter has rescheduled its race to a later date.
    Antioch Motor Speedway to host Thanksgiving Thunder/Turkey-Santa 155
    Antioch Motor Speedway, located at 2850 Race Track Street  Morganton, N.C., 28655, will be hosting its final race under the promotion of Jason Smoot.

  • 2nd-annual Phillip Knight Memorial set to run June 22

    The second-annual Phillip Knight Memorial Race is set for  June 22, 2019.
    After talking with Lancaster Motor Speedway co-promoter Shannon Munn, it was decided June 22 is the perfect date for my father’s memorial race.
    The first Phillip Knight Memorial race was a highly successful night at Lancaster Motor Speedway on June 23.
    The grandstands were packed to the max, concession stands ran out of food, race cars filled the pits, spectators’ cars filled the outside of the race track as well as the spectator parking in the pits.

  • Charlotte Racers Expo schedule set

    The eighth annual Charlotte Racers Expo is set for this weekend, today and Saturday, at the Cabarrus Arena & Event Center, 4751 NC 49 North,   Concord, NC 28025
    An auction for Go Karts and race cars will be held.
    Schedule of events:
    • Noon – Auction Preview, trade show opens.
    • 2 p.m. – Auction begins.
    • 6:30 p.m. – Karting-Specific Auction (minimum $2,000 worth of karting parts guaranteed to sell).
