• Banal returns home to win Fuel Race thriller Saturday night

    Driver Steve Banal returned to his home track to win the Fuel Late Model Series race Saturday night at Lancaster Motor Speedway.
    Banal, at the drop of the green flag, sprinted to the lead of the City Chevrolet main event.
    Willie Milliken quickly slid by Shaun Harrell for second as the top three opened up some space between themselves and the rest of the field.

  • Faith Funderburke Realty Super Stock Shootout

    Big races keep coming at Lancaster Motor Speedway under track co-promoters Shannon Munn and Eric Caskey.
    Munn and Caskey have put LMS back on the map not just in the Carolinas dirt racing scene, but across the country with big races produced every Saturday night at the half-mile oval.
    Track action Saturday features the Super Stock Division  Faith Funderburke Realty putting on the Faith Funderburke Realty Super Stock Shootout.

  • Fuel Late Models head LMS action Saturday night

    The Fuel Late Model Series highlights the racing card at Lancaster Motor Speedway on Saturday night.
    The Fuel Late Model Series is paying $2,000 to win the 30-lap race, with $250 to start.
    Among the drivers expected to be here from the Fuel Late Model Series points standings are one of the best late model drivers to compete at Lancaster Motor Speedway and the early favorite to take home the $2,000 check Saturday night is Steve Banal.

  • Hinson blazes to Renegade win on Saturday night

    Driver Steve Hinson lived up to this nickname on Saturday night in the Renegade Division. Hinson, known as “Burn ’em Down,” did just that.
    In the Renegade main, Hinson was on the front row with Andrew Baker.
    When the green flag fell, it was Hinson, Andrew Baker, Brandon Kinard and Brandy Baker battling for the lead entering turn one.
    Exiting turn two, a caution for jumping on Andrew Baker sent him to the back.

  • Fuel Late Model Series headlines LMS Saturday

    The Fuel Late Model Series is set to roar into Lancaster Motor Speedway for the first time on the 2019 racing season Saturday night.
    The Fuel Late Model Series averages between 15-20 Late Model cars every race.
    The early favorite heading into the race is driver Steve Banal.
    Banal dominated the Crate Late Model Division at Lancaster Motor Speedway for years and years before moving up to the Fuel Series.
    Banal said he is eager to return to his home track to try and capture the win in a competitive field of drivers at the half-mile dirt oval.

  • SECA Crate Late Models headline LMS action Saturday

    Lancaster Motor Speedway roars back to action Saturday night with the SECA Crate Late Model Division as the top event for the action.
    During the opening weekend two weeks ago, Michael “Downtown” Brown captured both nights of SECA Crate Late Model main event, but Brown will not be here this Saturday as he will be racing with the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series.

  • Nance prevails in Blue Ridge Outlaw win

    Drivers Matthew Nance and Ricky Weeks put on a show in the Blue Ridge Late Models race Saturday night at Lancaster Speedway.
    When the dust settled on an intense race, Nance took the hard-fought win.
    Nance and Weeks were on the front row, and when the green flag waved to start the race, Weeks and Nance battled for the lead.
    Nance grabbed the lead exiting turn two and the duel behind them was intense throughout the race,

  • LMS hosts regular racing card Saturday

    Lancaster Motor Speedway action will host a regular night of racing Saturday night.
    The opening two weeks of the track’s 2019 schedule featured the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series followed by the Blue Ridge Outlaw Late Model Series.
    The March 30 card will feature the SECA Crate Late Models, Super Stock, SECA Crate Sportsman, Renegade, Pure Stock V8, Extreme 4, Vintage and Thunder Bomber.
    Area racing fans, who might have missed one of the two early-season races, can purchase a DVD from Jackie Sims in the pits on race nights at the track.

  • Blue Ridge Outlaw Late Models to headline LMS racing action

    Lancaster Motor Speedway returns to racing at the half-mile track Saturday night.
    The LMS card will be headlined by the Blue Ridge Outlaw Late Models, paying $1,200 to win.
    The Blue Ridge Outlaw Late Model varies with different types of Late Models from Super Late Models, Limited Late Models, 525 Late Models, Lightning Late Models and 604 Crate Late Models.
    In the past at Lancaster Motor Speedway, the Blue Ridge Outlaw Late Models have featured car counts between 16-20 at LMS, with the most 24.

  • Brown dominates Late Model action in two-day LMS show

    “Downtown” Michael Brown, a hometown driver from the Buford area, finally captured a Super Late Model win at Lancaster Motor Speedway after coming close time and time again. Brown also won both of the SECA Crate Late Model races over the two-day show in the 2019 LMS opener.
    In the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series main event, the front row had Brett Hamm and Dustin Mitchell, and the second row was Chris Madden and Brandon Overton.
