  • Ozone stars win district
      The Lancaster Dixie Baseball Ozone all-stars are state-bound. The Ozone stars, ages 11-12, completed a splendid 3-0 run in the Dixie Youth Baseball District 2 tournament with a 15-3 win over the Lewisville stars on Friday, June 19 at Ronnie Gandy Field in the Wylie Park Complex.
  • P-31 rebounds, edges Rock Hill, 7-5
      Lancaster Post 31 evened its record at 4-4 with a 7-5 road win over Rock Hill Post 34 in League V Legion baseball play Friday, June 19. Lancaster, coming off an 8-6 loss to Fort Mill on Thursday, scored the runs it needed in the sixth as Brady Horton drilled a RBI single, Druw Rollings ripped a two-run double and scored on a passed ball. Kipp Rollings banged a triple and tallied on Andrew Caskey's run-scoring single for a 7-3 lead.

        Some of the best times I had as youngster was tagging along with my father, the late Jim Howey, as he called high school football games every Friday night during the season. We’d leave Friday afternoon and he’d make his way to his destination to work a game.
  • Strong finish gives Tucker win
      Mason Tucker used a solid finish to win the boys 10-12 division in the Lancaster chapter of the S.C. Junior Golf Association’s second tournament at the White Plains Golf club on Monday, June 15. Tucker posted a one-shot win, carding a 36 over nine holes from the red tees.
  • CPTC captures 46 medals at state meet
      The Columbus Parker Track Club received 46 medals and qualified 19 athletes to compete in the regional meet at Eastside High School in Taylors on June 25-28. The CPTC athletes qualified for the regionals while competing in the state meet in Hilton Head.
  • LCST wins over Kershaw
      The Lancaster County swim team is now 2-0 after taking a 398-125 win over Kershaw on Tuesday, June 16 at the Lancaster County pool.
  • Lancaster County Dixie Softball stars open play
      The Lancaster County Dixie Softball all-star teams will open postseason tournament play this weekend. The Lancaster County Darlings all-stars, ages 7-8, are fielding two all-star teams.
  • Ozone stars close in on district crown
      The Lancaster Dixie Youth Baseball Ozone all-star team continued to win in impressive fashion with a 15-0 victory over York on Tuesday night, June 16 at Ronnie Gandy Field in Lancaster’s Wylie Park Complex.
  • P-31 rebounds, tops York
      Lancaster Post 31 rebounded from a road loss to Rock Hill to even its record at 3-3 with a 9-4 win over York Post 66 on Wednesday, June 17 at Eggleton Field. The game was originally set for Tuesday, June 16, but pushed ahead a day.
  • Ozone stars roll in tourney opener
      The Lancaster Dixie Baseball all-stars started strong in the District 2 Ozone tournament with a 12-0 win over Lewisville on Monday, June 15. The Lancaster Ozone stars advanced to play York on Tuesday, June 16 at 8 p.m.
