  • Hargett-Doster Wedding

    Misty Lynn Hargett and Jonathon Ross Doster were married Oct. 26, 2013, at the home of Brian and Stacie Davis in Catawba.
    The bride is the daughter of Robin Hargett of Lancaster and J.R. Hargett of Kershaw. She is the granddaughter of Jeannie B. Gardner of Lancaster, Richard W. Gardner of Catawba, N.C., Suzanne Hargett of Lancaster and the late Lloyd Hargett. She is a 2004 graduate of Buford High School and a 2010 graduate of York Technical College. She works in management at Kentucky Fried Chicken in Rock Hill.

    Devin Cole Waldrop and Joey Heyward Williams were married at 4 p.m. Oct. 12, 2013 and Whippoorwill Hill by Pastor Janet Knight.
    The bride is the daughter of Angie Waldrop and Steve and Faynette Waldrop, all of Lancaster. She is the granddaughter of Roy and Jean Harris of Burnsville, N.C., Pamela McManus of Lancaster, Betty Waldrop of Hickory, N.C., and the late William Waldrop Sr. She is a 2010 graduate of Lancaster High School and works for Founders Federal Credit Union.

    R. Joseph and Alison B. Barnes of Houston announce the engagement of their daughter, Lindsey Nicole Barnes, to Colby Lee Ebert, both of Greenville.
    The wedding is planned for 6 p.m. May 24, 2014, at Grace Church Downtown in Greenville.

    The wedding is planned for 3 p.m. July 5, 2014, at Christian Assembly Worship Center.
    Miss Jolly is the granddaughter of Buddy and Barbara Hopkins and of the late Clarence and Beverly Jolly. She is a 2002 graduate of Westminster Catawba Christian School and a 2006 graduate of Columbia International University. She works for Neebo as a site manager.

    Miss Hartley is the executive director of KARE.
    Mr. McKittrick is the son of Dan McKittrick of Robbins, N.C., and works at McKittrick Timber, LLC.
    They are the parents of Karah Hartley, Garrett Hartley, Grace McKittrick and Molly McKittrick.

    The trust-deficit between Americans and policymakers is distressingly large – with only 19 percent of Americans, according to an October Pew poll, who say that they have faith that the government will do what is right just about always or most of the time.
