    Gunfire erupted in a crowded Twin Pines bar about 2:45 a.m. Saturday, killing two men and wounding eight more people, and authorities are searching for a suspect believed to have started the carnage in an attack on one of the dead victims.

    Eleven people were injured, two fatally, during a mass shooting at a Twin Pines bar early Saturday morning.
    The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office is investigating the shooting at Old Skool Sports Bar & Grill that happened at about 2:45 a.m. Saturday.
    According to a Sheriff's Office release, ten people were shot. Two adult men died, four people were airlifted for injuries, and four were treated for non-life threatening injuries at a local hospital. One person was injured in a fall while everyone was attempting to flee the bar.

  • Rock Hill man sought in Lancaster murder

    Lancaster County authorities are searching for a York County man in a Sunday afternoon shooting death at a home west of Lancaster.
    Arrest warrants have charged Jarod Keshun McNeil, 17, of Rock Hill, with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime, according to a statement from the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office.
    McNeil has not been arrested and should be considered armed and dangerous, said the statement.

  • Missing man’s body found in his SUV

    A missing Lancaster man was found dead in his SUV Tuesday evening in a South Wylie Street parking lot.
    Timothy Taylor Wash, 26, was reported missing by his family Sunday. His body was found about 7 p.m. near the intersection of Wylie and York streets in Lancaster, according to a release from the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office.
    Wash was last seen leaving his Tully Court home on Saturday for work.

  • Sheriff's office seeks missing Lancaster man
    Authorities are seeking the public’s help in finding a missing Lancaster man.
    According to a release from the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, Timothy Taylor Wash, 26, was last seen leaving his Tully Court home in Lancaster in a 2008 Ford Escape SUV on Saturday. The tag number is MQF 875. 
  • Hurricane Dorian crawling up coast

    On Wednesday afternoon, portions of the state’s coast were already experiencing pelting rains and wind gusts from Hurricane Dorian as it crawled up the eastern seaboard.
    “We thought it was coming and here it is,” said Gov. Henry McMaster during a live news conference today.
    “If it shifts to the east (out to sea), that would be great,” he said.
    The Category 2 storm is expected to hit the Hilton Head/Beaufort area between 6 and 8 a.m. Thursday before working its way up the coast.

  • Cardinal Health cutting 150 IL jobs

    INDIAN LAND – Cardinal Health announced Tuesday that it was cutting its workforce by 25 percent and eliminating 150 jobs.
    The plant, which makes surgical kits, is getting rid of its second shift, said Cardinal Health Communications Manager Erica Lewis. The company is based in Ohio.

  • Buford Elementary postpones Thursday’s school wide open house

    The scheduled school wide open house set for Thursday evening at Buford Elementary School has been postponed because of traffic/safety concerns along that stretch of North Rocky River Road.
    Workers are still finishing the traffic loop and parking improvements.
