    Jade Marie McAteer, infant daughter of Michael Edward McAteer and Crystal Marie Adams, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2007.

    Survivors include her parents of Lancaster; paternal grandmother, Teredsa Medlin and her husband, Alan, of Lancaster; paternal grandfather, Michael Henry McAteer of Lancaster; maternal grandfather, Wendell Adams Sr. and his wife, Barbara, of Lancaster; and maternal grandmother, Jenny Beckham of Lancaster.

    Graveside services were Tuesday at Lancaster Memorial Park, conducted by the Rev. Brian Barton.

    GREAT FALLS Ruby C. Bowser, 55, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2007.

    Born March 1, 1952, in Winnsboro, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Caldwell Curry and the late Elmer Manning. She was married to Evangelist Wayne Bower. She was a member of New Birth Church, where she served on the kitchen committee and the pastors aide committee. She attended Elizabeth Heights High School and was formerly employed with Tyson Foods.

    Margaret Edna Steele, 93, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2007.

    Born Feb. 9, 1914, in Lancaster County, she was the daughter of the late John H. Steele and Mittie Ringstaff Steele. She was a 1933 graduate of Lancaster High School and was a member of the Evening Garden Club and Eastern Star. She was very active at Shiloh ARP Church, where she was a member of the Molly Draffin Circle and the Young at Heart Club. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Lancaster and Circle No. 2. She retired from Springs Industries.

    Sophia Mae Shepard, 53, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007.

    Born Jan. 12, 1953, in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Eugene Davis Shepard and Helen C. Hughes Shepard. A graduate of Winthrop University, she was a member of the Council of Exceptional Children. She participated in the Rescue of Abused and Abandoned Animal Services in the Lancaster area. She was a special-needs teacher for 30 years.

    Survivors include a brother, Charles Shepard of Simpsonville; and nieces.

    LUGOFF – Betty Richardson Yandle, 73, formerly of Kershaw, died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2007.

    Born in Kershaw, she was the daughter of the late Troy and Bertha Knight Richardson. She was a Presbyterian.

    Survivors include two sons, Gerald Ray "Rick" Yandle Jr. of Buffalo Grove, Ill., and Christopher "Chris" Yandle of Oceanside, Calif.

    She was preceded in death by four sisters, Mildred "Mickie" Blair, Polly Epting, Norma Holms and Virginia R. Gardner.

    Born in Kerhsaw County, he was the son of the late Herbert and Ellen Gaither Harper. He was a member of Zion Pilgrim Baptist Church. He was married to the late Eunice McGriff. He was retired from Springs Industries.

    GREAT FALLS - Jackson Lee Alexander, infant son of Kendell Steven Alexander and Monica Johnston Alexander, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2007.Survivors include his parents; paternal grandparents, Tim and Carrie Alexander of Indian Trail, N.C., and Diane and Timothy Clinton of Camden; maternal grandparents, Monty and Cindy Johnston of Great Falls; paternal great-grandparents, Robert and Elaine Ferrell of Indian Trail; and maternal great-grandparents, Buddy and Evelyn Tarlton of Great Falls.

    KERSHAW – Jackie Edward Geiger, 59, died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2007.Born in Jefferson, he was the son of Jake Jeff and the late Grace Rollings Geiger. He was married to Judy Catoe Geiger. He was a mechanic, having worked at Taylor's Exxon and Geiger's Automotive.
