Two days into his murder trial, Brent Gay pleaded guilty to a reduced charge Thursday in the 2015 shooting death of Flint McManus and was sentenced to 30 years in prison.
Gay, 34, confessed to shooting McManus and blamed debilitating drug abuse. He asked forgiveness from the victim’s relatives, who had sat through 14 hours of prosecution testimony before the plea deal was announced.
