Week Ahead

KVLT nature and history walk

The Katawba Valley Land Trust will host a nature and history walk from 1:30-6:30 p.m. Oct. 21 at Landsford Canal State Park, 2051 Park Drive, Catawba. 

Retired park naturalist Irvin Pitts will speak on identifying birds and naturalist Andrew Lazenby will speak about plants and animals. Local historian Mark Grier will lead a tour of the Lockkeeper’s House and the park museum. The event will also include a visit from a revolutionary war militia.
