• Faulkenberrys celebrate 75 years

    Jones Allen and Evelyn Bailey Faulkenberry celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary on April 7, 2013.
    A reception in their honor was given by their children at the home of Haskell and Sandi Faulkenberry.
    The Faulkenberrys were married April 2, 1938, in Camden.

  • Garrisons celebrate 50 years

    George W. Sr. and Suellen Shaw Garrison of Lancaster celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 27, 2013.
    They were married April 27, 1963, at South Bellaire United Methodist Church in Bellaire, Ohio.
    Their children gave them a weekend trip to Bryson City, N.C., which included a bed and breakfast stay and a train ride on the Nantahala Gorge Train.
    The couple has four children, George Garrison Jr., Linsly Dale, Tami Sue Parham and Keith Garrison. They have ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

  • Broome-Patterson Engagement

    Larry and Teresa Broome of Kershaw announce the engagement of their daughter, Tara Ann Broome of Lancaster, to Kenneth Leo Patterson of Wesley Chapel, N.C.

    The wedding is planned for May 11, 2013, at The Corley Mill House and Gardens in Lexington.
    Miss Davis is the granddaughter of Lee and Sharon Davis of College Station, Texas, and Vernon and Doris Hartsfield of Hearne, Texas. She is a graduate of Franklin High School and is studying radiology at Midlands Technical College in Columbia. She works for FedEx.

    The wedding is planned for 6 p.m. May 26, 2013, in Rock Hill.
    Miss Clark is the daughter of Lena Allen Clark and the late L.C. Clark. She is the granddaughter of the late Robert and Arbutus Allen, the late King David Clark, the late Eva Mae Clark and the late Bleaker Hammond Clark.

    Tara H. Cooke of Indian Land and Ronno Cooke of Morganton, N.C., announce the engagement of their daughter, Hannah Cooke of Indian Land, to Matthew Honeycutt of Lancaster.
    The wedding is planned for 6 p.m. May 18, 2013, at Rosewood on Country Club in Lancaster.
    Miss Cooke is a 2008 graduate of Indian Land High School and works as a pharmacy technician.
    Mr. Honeycutt is the son of Karen Honeycutt of Lancaster and the late Mike Honeycutt. He is a 2010 high school graduate and works as a welder.

  • Patterson-Pressley Engagement

    Trey and Jean Patterson of Fort Mill announce the engagement of their daughter, Virginia Patterson, to Otis Pressley of Indian Land.
    The wedding is planned for 2 p.m. Sept. 28, 2013, at Philadelphia United Methodist Church in Fort Mill.
    Miss Patterson is a graduate of Fort Mill High School and received an associate’s degree in dental hygiene from York Technical College.
    She works as a dental hygienist at Shiland Dentistry in Rock Hill.
    Mr. Pressley is the son of Mike and Vivian Pressley of Indian Land.

  • McCowan-Pardue Engagement

    Donald and Donna McCowan of Lancaster announce the engagement of their daughter, Casey Bree McCowan, to Nickolas Hutchinson Pardue, both of Heath Springs.
    The wedding is planned for 4 p.m. May 18, 2013 at Lakeside Pavillion in Lake Wateree.
    Miss McCowan is the granddaughter of Evelyn McCowan Hunter and the late Thomas Wilton McCowan and of the late Julian Edward and Inez Carolyn Mills. She is a 2003 graduate of Lancaster High School and works as a stylist at Smartstyle.

  • Millers celebrate 65 years

    Calvin Pierce and Mickey Sharpton Miller of Lancaster celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on March 10, 2013.
    They were honored by Covenant Baptist Church where Pastor Bert Welch proclaimed that day as “Mickey and Calvin Miller Day” and presented them with a plaque in recognition of their leadership and support of the church since its founding in 1994.
    The JOY Sunday School class hosted a luncheon after the worship service in their honor.
