• Brasington-Snodgrass engagement

    Greg and Nancy Brasington of Lancaster announce the engagement of their daughter, Hannah Caroline Brasington, to Steven Andrew Snodgrass, both of Lake Wylie. 

    The wedding is planned for 4 p.m. Sept. 22 in Fort Mill. 

    Miss Brasington is the granddaughter of Buck and Doris Brasington and John and Mary Martin.  

    Mr. Snodgrass is the son of Cheryl Snodgrass and the late George Snodgrass of Steele Creek. He is the grandson of Reuben and Clara Chapman and Deloris and Cary Elliott.

    Bryan and Karen Faile of Kershaw announce the engagement of their daughter, Jordyn West Faile, to Austin Rutledge Duncan, both of Lancaster.

    The wedding is planned for 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018, at Baker Conference Center in Kershaw.  

  • Johnson-Houghtaling engagement

    Chuck and Vickie Abernethy of Midland, N.C., announce the engagement of their daughter, Megan Johnson, to Rodney Houghtaling, both of Lancaster.

    The wedding is planned for 5:30 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2019, in Lancaster.

    Mr. Houghtaling is the son of Steve Houghtaling of Lancaster and Steve and Rhonda Ebersole of Heath Springs. 

  • Moree wedding

    Donna McManus Langley of Lancaster and David Alexander Moree of Kershaw were married at 4 p.m. June 2, 2018, at the Andrew Jackson State Park Chapel by the Rev. Randy Mellichamp.

    The bride is the daughter of Phil and Joyce Forbis and Vernon and Martha McManus, all of Lancaster. She is the granddaughter of the late Ira and Margaret McManus and the late Donald and Lillian Branner. She works for the town of Heath Springs.

  • Petelo wedding

    Hello everyone! My name is Allister and I want everyone to congratulate my mom, Kanesha Haile, on marrying the coolest, most incredible dad in the world, Vaitui Petelo! 

    Kanesha is the daughter of Melvenia Miles and Roy Haile of Lancaster. She is a graduate of Lancaster High School and is currently a mental health technician at Palmetto Summerville Behavioral Health in Charleston. 

    Vaitui is the son of Saipeti and Tenisio Petelo of Honolulu, Hawaii. He is currently the head chef at ICE Services, Inc., in Alaska. 

  • Christopher and Brenda Burns celebrate 54 years

    Christopher Harper Burns and Brenda Cauthen Burns celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on May 10, 2018. 

    They have one son, Christopher Tyron Burns, and a Goddaughter, Tina Catoe Ross, both of Camden. 

    They had brunch at Camden Waffle House on Highway 521, their favorite place to eat.

  • Douglas and Esther Horton celebrate 60 years

    Douglas Garland and Esther Lee Wolfe Horton celebrated their 60th anniversary on April 6, 2018. 

    A reception was given in their honor on April 15, 2018, by their children, Ricky Horton and his wife, Ann, Chet Horton and his wife, Ami, and Jill Horton Lowe and her husband, David. 

    The Hortons were married April 6, 1958, in Kershaw. 

    They have eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. 

    Douglas retired from National Linen Service in Columbia.

    Esther retired from Kendall-Bethune and Lancaster County.

  • Vincent-Pentecost Engagement

    Dale and Fran Vincent of Heath Springs announce the engagement of their daughter, Chelsea Elyse Vincent to Prentiss Jacob Pentecost, both of Rock Hill.

    The wedding is planned for April 28, 2019 in Lancaster.

    Miss Vincent is the granddaughter of Bernadine C. King of Lancaster and the late James C. King Jr., and the late Benjamin and Corrie Vincent, of Kershaw. She is a 2014 graduate of the University of South Carolina. She is a S.C. DHEC environmental health manager for the Division of Food Protection.

  • White Anniversary

    Floyd L. White II and Gloria White are celebrating their 60th anniversary Wednesday, April 25, 2018.

    They were married April 25, 1958, at Fort Rucker in Alabama.

    The Whites have three children, Donna White Bailey and her husband, Dennis, of Lancaster, Floyd White III and his wife, Bonnie, of Laurel, N.J., and Berry White and his wife, Cindy, of Glendale, Ariz.; and two grandchildren.

    He is a retired coach and science teacher and she is a retired plant manager.
