A Lancaster man is wanted in connection with shooting another man late Monday night, Sept. 9.

An arrest warrant has been issued charging Miguelito D. Davis, 32, 1813 Wendover Lane, with attempted murder, according to a Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office press release.

Deputies found the injured man at about 9:08 p.m. Monday inside a home at 3217 Douglas Way after a reported shooting. Douglas Way is off Douglas Heights Lane and is adjacent to Great Falls Highway (S.C. 200) near Bethel Road.

When they arrived, they found a 24-year-old man who had been shot once in his leg, the release said.

He was taken to Springs Memorial Hospital for treatment and was later released.

A team of criminal and crime scene investigators arrived at the scene and began a detailed investigation.

The release said authorities learned Davis came to the home where his ex-girlfriend lives and confronted the victim outside the home. Investigators say the victim is in a relationship with Davis’ ex-girlfriend.

During the confrontation, Davis shot the victim and then fled the scene, though he has not yet been found, the release said.

Anyone with information about Davis’ whereabouts is asked to call the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office at (803) 283-3388 or contact Crimestoppers at 1-888-Crime SC (1-888-274-6372). You can also e-mail or text anonymous tips to www.midlandscrimestoppers.com.
