A second teen has been arrested in last Thursday’s Kershaw murder, and another is being sought by authorities.
Ka’Darius Aintwayn Kirkland, 19, of Kershaw turned himself in to authorities Tuesday afternoon after Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office investigators and SLED agents searched parts of Kershaw and Heath Springs for him.
Kirkland was charged with murder in the shooting of Vincent Barry Lambert Jr. and two counts of attempted murder, according to a sheriff’s statement. He was denied bond.
Investigators are searching for a third suspect, Brennan Jamil Patterson Jr., 17, who is also being charged with murder and two counts of attempted murder.
He was described as 6 feet tall and 140 pounds, and is associated with addresses on East Gay Street in Lancaster and Chesterfield Avenue in Great Falls.
Dorian Tyrese Clyburn, 16, was arrested early Tuesday after authorities combed the Craig Farm Road and Shiloh Unity Road areas for him for half the day Monday. He was charged with murder and two counts of attempted murder. Clyburn’s bond was denied Tuesday, and he was sent to the Department of Juvenile Justice Detention Facility in Columbia.
Lambert was riding in a car on Pine Ridge Drive in Kershaw last Thursday when he and a female driver were shot. A 4-year-old in the backseat was unhurt.
“We have made great progress in this investigation in a short period of time,” Sheriff Barry Faile said Wednesday. “We have two suspects in custody and need to find Patterson as soon as possible. I urge anybody with information about where Patterson is to call us.”
Anyone who sees Patterson or has information on his whereabouts should not make contact with him but should dial 911 immediately, the sheriff said.
