INDIAN LAND – The S.C. Department of Transportation is preparing to install a traffic light at the intersection of Harrisburg Road and Regent Parkway.

Located at the northernmost tip of the Panhandle, just south of Pineville, N.C., the busy intersection has concerned residents for some time, due to increasing traffic in the area.

SCDOT Assistant District 4 Traffic Engineer Vick Edwards said crews began digging foundation holes for the signal posts on Thursday, Nov. 21, and the light should be fully operational by the end of December or early January.
