Report: two people robbed at gunpoint

By Jesef Williams

Police continue to investigate an armed robbery that occurred at a Lancaster business last week.

An officer came to Pelican Prints, 1106 W. Meeting St., just before 2:30 p.m. Dec. 21, to speak with a man inside the business.

The man said that he and a woman were inside when two armed men entered the building, according to a Lancaster Police Department incident report.

The man said the assailants ordered he and the woman, at gunpoint, to lie on the floor and hand over all of their money.

“An undetermined amount of money was taken from both victims, as well as the business,” an officer wrote in the report.

The man described the assailants as black males who were dressed in all black. One was wearing a black toboggan, the man told police. The report said the incident remains under investigation. No names were listed as suspects.

A message left for Lancaster Police Capt. Scott Grant, the department’s public information officer, wasn’t returned by press time Thursday.
