A Lancaster man is wanted for kidnapping and the Lancaster Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding him.

Fredrickeon Lamar “Buddy” Twitty, 24, of 1838 Steele Street is being sought on charges of domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature, first-degree burglary, kidnapping and use of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.

According to a release from the police department, Twitty entered a home on Pardue Street Sunday, grabbing his pregnant girlfriend, Katherine M. Crittenden, by her neck and forcing her to leave with him.

Crittenden was then forced into the back of a four-door sedan by Twitty, who drove away with her, the release said.

Crittenden was able to escape from the back of the vehicle once it stopped at a stop sign in the Chesterfield Avenue area.

Twitty is black, 5 foot 6 and weighs 160 pounds. Police advise that Twitty may be armed and dangerous and ask that everyone use caution and do not approach him.

Anyone with information on Twitty’s whereabouts should call Sgt. Paul Knight at (803) 289-6035 or e-mail pknight@lancastercitysc.com.
