Letter: Hoping mechanic lands a better job

-A A +A

It was great to read the June 3 story about Nikki and Bobby Mims helping Linda Thompson with her broken-down car. Good to know there are kind people willing to help a stranded person.
The goodness of the story went sour near the end, to hear what happened to her mechanic, David Starnes. You should have included the name of the shop where he worked so all in Lancaster could avoid using his shop.
To fire someone for helping a stranded lady for taking business/money away from him was just pure greed. That was just so wrong. What would the owner want if it was his wife, mom or daughter stranded?
I am thankful there are still kind-hearted folks and wish the best for David to find a better job with a caring boss. Thanks to the Mimses for finding her help to get safely home.
