Crews are on still working at the Market Street railroad crossing Tuesday evening, April 14, to clear an L&C Railway engine and cars that slipped off the rails late Tuesday morning.

The derailment caused no leaks and no one was injured.

Traffic had to be rerouted around the crossing between Chesterfield Avenue and Miller Street causing traffic backups on Main Street.

Railway officials on scene declined to comment on the accident Tuesday afternoon except to say they expected to have Market Street cleared and reopened sometime this evening. Check back later for more.
