The LHS boys tennis team equaled its win total from all of last season with a win at South Pointe on Thursday, March 28 in Rock Hill.

The 5-3 Bruins started and finished strong to win 6-0 over the Stallions. LHS jumped to a quick 4-0 advantage with wins at the No. 1, 2, 3, and 5 singles spots.

At the No. 2 doubles position, Peyton Brumfield and Matt Barnes needed a third-set 10-point tiebreaker to edge their opponents, Ben Johnson and Garrett Burgess.

The final match of the contest saw No. 4 singles player Tyler Ferguson pull away late in the second set to edge his opponent Preston Darby.

In addition, Matthew Graham won his junior varsity match for the Bruins by a strong 8-0 score. With six matches left before the playoffs, the Bruins hope to finish strong and enter the postseason with momentum on their side.
