Lancaster Super Speedway drivers are  preparing this week for this weekend’s King Of The Carolinas race held at Carolina Speedway in Gastonia, N.C.
Some of the LSS drivers who will be competing in the events will be Timbo Mangum, Brandy Baker, Andrew Baker, Benji Knight, Bill Knight, Pebo Johnson, Hank Taylor, Travis Mosley, Brent Hodges, Andy Hodges, Kyle Norwood and Rocky Phillips.
The event is the biggest race of the year in the Carolinas and to be named the King Of The Carolina’s in their respected divisions is regarded as a major achievement in racing.
The Carolina’s best dirt track drives will come to the track, known as “The Action Track,” Oct. 13-15.
The event had over 200 race cars last fall. On Oct. 13, there will be an open practice held for every division at Carolina Speedway.
On Oct. 14, pit gates will open at 3 p.m. and the grandstands at 4. The drivers meeting is at 5:45, and  hot laps will start at 6:15.
Qualifying/heat races are at 7, with three cars qualifying two laps each.

SECA Crate Late Models – (top 6 locked in.)
Renegade – (top 10 locked in)
MMSA 4-cylinders – (top 6 locked in)
SECA Modified heat races
Street Stock (top 10 locked in.)
SECA Crate Sportsman (top 10 locked in.)
SECA Crate Late Models heats (three heats)
Hornets/Front Wheel Drive/Extreme four heats.
8:30 p.m. Heats/Feature Events.

Renegade Heats – five laps
MMSA heats – five laps
SECA Modified Feature – 15 laps, $750 to win.
Street Stock Heats – six laps
5th annual Bill Hendren Memorial – 40 laps, $3,000 to win.
SECA Crate Sportsman heats – six laps.
Hornets feature – 15 laps, $500 to win
Saturday, Oct. 15
Noon – pit gates open.
2 p.m. – grandstands gates open.
3:45 – drivers meeting
4:15 – hot laps/practice
5 p.m. – racing.

16th Annual Carolina Clash Bash – 40 laps $5,000 to win.
Hornets feature – 20 laps $1,000 to win.

Thursday Oct. 13: Grandstands free and pits $15.
Friday Oct. 14: Grandstands $20 and pits $30.
Saturday Oct. 15: Grandstands $25 and pits $35.
Multi Day Passes:
Two-day grandstands (Friday, Saturday) $40.
Two-day pit passes (Friday, Saturday) $60.
Three-day pits passes (Thursday, Saturday) $70.
