The Lancaster High School Lady Bruins’ cross country team opened the season with a region sweep of Northwestern and South Pointe at Northwestern High of Rock Hill on Tuesday, Aug. 28.

The Lady Bruins won with 29 points, followed by South Pointe’s 32 and 59 for host Northwestern. The lowest score wins in cross country based on the lower finishes in the meet.

Junior JeNae Jones, who made all-region last fall and was in the state finals in 2010 and 2011, paced the LHS girls.
