A night after a tough loss to league unbeaten Indian Land, the Buford Yellow Jackets were on target in a 62-44 region win over Central of Pageland on Tuesday, Feb. 4 at CHS.

The Jackets, who dropped an 11-point loss to Indian Land on Monday, Feb. 3, took control in the second period on the way to the 18-point win.

The Buford boys’ victory gave BHS a split after the Lady Jackets dropped a 51-49 loss in the varsity opener.

In the pivotal third period, Buford used a 19-14 run to forge a 41-24 lead and cruise to the victory.

Buford bolted to a 17-5 lead as Gabby Davis, who led the Lady Jackets with 23, netted 11 of her 15 opening half points in the first period.
