Officials stress preparedness

By Jesef Williams

The gusty winds and high waters spawned by hurricanes aren’t just threats to coastal residents.

Because of the storms’ far-reaching impact, emergency officials across the state and nationwide are stressing preparedness for everyone as we enter the 2012 hurricane season.
