Heavy rain leads to rescheduled races

Due to heavy rain over the weekend, Antioch Motor Speedway and Sumter Motor Speedway canceled their races.
Antioch has rescheduled their race for the third straight weekend to Dec. 8. Sumter has rescheduled its race to a later date.
Antioch Motor Speedway to host Thanksgiving Thunder/Turkey-Santa 155
Antioch Motor Speedway, located at 2850 Race Track Street  Morganton, N.C., 28655, will be hosting its final race under the promotion of Jason Smoot.
Smoot, owner of the Blue Ridge Outlaw Late Model Series, has decided to hang up promoting the half-mile dirt track in Morganton and put all his focus on his highly successful Blue Ridge Outlaw Model Series for the 2018 racing season.
Antioch will be having its Thanksgiving Thunder/Turkey-Santa 155 race Saturday night.
The card will have the Blue Ridge Outlaw Late Models Series paying $1,500 to win and $200 to start, Thunder Bomber/Pure Stock V8 is paying $600 to win, Renegade/Crate Sportsman $600 to win, Pure Stock 4 $600 to win, Extreme 4/Front Wheel Drive $450 to win, 602 Open Wheel Modifieds $600 to win, and Young Guns 4-Cylinders $250 to win.
Pits admission is $35 and $18 for the grandstands.
Gates open at 9 a.m., with the drivers meeting at 1 p.m. and hot laps at 1:20 p.m.
A host of Lancaster regulars are making the trip to Antioch.
