Gunshot victim pronounced dead at hospital

One person is dead following a shooting Monday, Nov. 19, that is believed to have taken place on Cedar Pine Lake Road home in Lancaster.
Lancaster County sheriff’s deputies and Lancaster Police Department officers responded to Springs Memorial Hospital just after 1 p.m. Monday in reference to a victim arriving there with what appeared to be a gunshot wound, according to a Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office media release.
The victim, who was taken to the hospital by an acquaintance, was pronounced dead at the hospital.
“At this point, it is believed that the victim went to a residence on Cedar Pine Lake Road in Lancaster, where the incident took place,” the release said. “Neighbors reported hearing gunshots from the residence and observing two vehicles leave the area.”
About 2 p.m. Monday, authorities were told to be on the lookout for a champaign-colored Ford Crown Victoria, possibly with three occupants.
No other details – including the victim's name, names of possible suspects or a possible motive – were released Monday afternoon.
