Surveillance video of CVS parking lot doesn’t back up woman’s claim

By Chris Sardelli

Deputies are reviewing evidence about a reported assault in a CVS parking lot on Airport Road in Lancaster earlier this week.
A Lancaster woman told deputies she was assaulted in front of the store Sunday, according to an incident report. The woman told deputies she went to the CVS at 11:44 a.m. to buy a newspaper and was approached by a man and woman.
She said the man told her to hand over her purse and then both he and the woman began to hit her on the head, the report said. She yelled for help, but said no one in the parking lot would help her.
