Cash letter: North Central coach thanks Buford High School staff, fans

-A A +A

I am writing to express my sincerest appreciation of your staff and fans at Buford High School.
On March 12, during the North Central and Buford JV baseball game, we had a player break his leg. While this was occurring, one of our fans had a stroke in the stands.
Coach Eric Funderburk and his staff were very professional and helped to control the scene. Everyone was extremely helpful in assisting with both of these situations. There were two nurses in the stands who immediately volunteered their services and helped with the two individuals. With everyone’s assistance, we got each person loaded into an ambulance and transferred to receive medical attention.
Since the incidents, I have received multiple phone calls from the Buford High family inquiring about the well-being of these individuals. Each person expressed a sincere concern for our athlete and for our fan.
As the head coach of North Central baseball, I wanted to take time to let you all know how much I appreciate the compassion shown toward us.
The Buford High baseball program and the Buford High family have reached out to North Central during this time and I would personally like to commend and recognize them for this.
Thank you.
Robert Cash
