Tyler Vespe scored on the conversion to give Buford a 20-8 edge.
Buford Middle School coach Greg Caskey saluted a host of players for their effort in the Jackets’ 12-point win.
Caskey said Bubba Catoe, Tucker Sellers and Payton Poston led the BMS defense with sacks. Brady Knight notched his share of tackles.
Caskey said Evan Teague and Tucker Sellers provided key play on both sides of the ball.
“Our guys played well and it was good to get the win,” Caskey said. “Tyler Vespe deserves a lot of credit. He ran hard all day.”
