The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday, June 12, the arrests of a man and woman suspected of burning a house last month.

Josh A. Price, 28, 1454 Winthrop Ave., Lancaster, and Bobbie Lee Keiningham, 26, 148 Catoe Road, Kershaw, have each been charged with second-degree arson and second-degree burglary.

Investigators say they broke into a Heath Springs home May 25 and intentionally set it on fire.

The home, at 1789 Dan Funderburk Road, was valued at $20,000 and was completely destroyed in the fire, according to a sheriff’s office press release issued Tuesday afternoon.

During the course of the initial investigation, it was determined that the fire may have been intentionally set,” the release said.

An investigation led deputies to Price and Keiningham, who both remained jailed at the Lancaster County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond.

“We are thankful that no one was hurt during this incident and pleased that our investigators were able to solve the case so quickly,” Sheriff Barry Faile said.
