April exhibit showcases 'Women Artists in Harmony'

The Lancaster County Council of the Arts will host the “Women Artists in Harmony” exhibit in the Springs House Galleries during April.
This spring show is a collaborative exhibit of 13 diverse local women artists. Each is a talented individual with a focus and style unique to their interests and media.
Pattie Schlesner and Shirley Wood will have many of their fine jewelry designs available in a variety of stonework, beading and polymer clay.
Juanita Wood and Melissa A. Lawson have chosen striking works in photography for exhibit.
Roy Thompson will showcase her unique twist of using mixed mediums and stained glass for her creations.
Cindy Conway and Betty Jones have clay pieces, both artistic and functional at the show; each representative of their own way of transforming clay into art.
Jeanette Osterlin shares some of her fine pieces of art that incorporate fabric and her love of gardening.
Carol Johns, a registered instructor in the art of Zentangling has her award-winning piece on display, as well as other of her pieces and cards.
Marie Mitchell and Betsey B. Stryker, each accomplished painters, will add their vibrant works of acrylic paintings and mixed mediums.
Jane Moeller will have a selection of her very distinct and fun stylistic paintings of women.
Cindy Moeykens will round out the show with both her ink works and watercolor portraiture.  
The public opening reception is from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 9, at the Springs House, 201 W. Gay St.
The exhibit will be on display through April 28, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday or by appointment.  ​For details, call (803) 285-7451 or visit www.lccarts.net. ​​
