1 victim dies, 2nd airlifted after Heath Springs wreck

One person was killed and another severely injured in a two-car wreck at Kershaw Camden Highway and Ramblin Road just north of Heath Springs.
According to Lancaster County Fire Marshal Russell Rogers, an EMS crew pulled up on the wreck before it was called out and were able to get one victim out, but could not free the other before fire engulfed the vehicle.
According to the S.C. Highway Patrol, a 2015 Infiniti was attempting to illegally pass another vehicle heading north on Kershaw Camden Highway when it ran off the side of the road and hit a group of trees.
