Woman claims $2M Poweball ticket from IL

By The Staff

INDIAN LAND – A Charlotte woman has stepped forward with the $2 million Powerball ticket purchased at an Indian Land QuikTrip last month, and she says she’s retiring early.
The winner told S.C. Education Lottery officials she was filling up her car at the store at 9565 Charlotte Highway and sent her son inside the store to buy a ticket. He checked her Powerball ticket the next day.
“You got it!” he screamed when he saw the first five white ball numbers matched those drawn on March 20 – 10, 14, 50, 53, 63.
