    Lancaster Super Speedway is back in racing action Saturday, July 11. Headlining the racing action will be the return of the Limited Late Models.

    Limited Late Models have been one of the most popular divisions at Lancaster for years. The Speedway staff is excited to have them back.

    Earlier this year, Timbo Mangum captured the only Limited Late Model win at LSS in dominating fashion.

    Lancaster Post 31 opened American Legion Baseball playoffs with a twin bill Monday night at Harvey Eggleton Field. Lancaster, the League V runner-up, hosted Walhalla Post 124. The first game of the best 3 out of 5 series was scheduled for 7 p.m. To save on travel and expenses, both teams agreed to play two games Monday with the first game starting at 5 p.m.

    The two teams split the wins with Lancaster falling to 4-2 in game one and rebounding in the second game 6-1.

    Lancaster Super Speedway celebrated July 4th with fireworks and racing action on Saturday.

    In the U.S. Bonding Vintage Division, the front row was Ben Helms and Mike Helms. When the green flag fell, it was Ben Helms, Mike Helms, Kenneth Deese and Marty Spittle battling for the lead entering turn one.

    The Special Materials Company team captured first place in the Lancaster County Economic Development Corporation (LCEDC) annual Industry Appreciation golf tournament at Edgewater Golf Club.

    The Lancaster Post 31 Legion baseball team wrapped up the runner-up spot in League V without throwing a pitch for a split Thursday, July 2.

    The Lancaster County swim team Sharks completed an unbeaten regular season with a 434-122 win over Camden at the Lancaster County pool on Saturday, June 27.

    Charlie Brooke Henry, Samuel Page and Tamra Tipton led the LCST with four firsts each in the meet.
