KERSHAW – If play is an indicator, recent improvements at the Kershaw Golf Course are paying off.
In July, 973 rounds of golf were played at the town-owned course. In August 1,185 rounds were played there. Through last Sunday, 787 golfers had played at the 18-hole course in September.
And with an average of a little more than 40 playing each day, Kershaw Mayor Mark Dorman hopes the final number for September pushes 1,000.
By comparison, the monthly average of golf rounds played in March, April and May was 934.
