    The top-seeded Indian Land Warriors blanked Buford 6-0 to open the Class AA Upper State playoffs on Tuesday, May 5 at IL’s Reservation.

    Justin Penn had a goal in each half to lead the Warriors, who held a 2-0 lead at the break.

    KERSHAW – Andrew Jackson posted its third straight postseason shutout to win the Class AA Upper State District IV softball championship on Wednesday, May 6 at the Lady Volunteers’ field.

    AJ, 23-6, blanked Woodruff, 4-0 behind senior pitcher Hannah Cobb, 18-4. She struck out nine Lady Wolverines and allowed three hits and a walk.

    KERSHAW – Andrew Jackson, its back to the wall in the Class AA Upper State District I baseball playoffs, battled back for a 3-1 win over Abbeville High School to win the district title and a bid to the Class AA Upstate title series Wednesday, May 8.

    Emily Cox, playing in her first Vicki DiSantis Girls’ Championship, made a 15-foot par putt on the final hole to capture the title by one stroke Sunday, May 3.

    The DiSantis Girls’ Championship is held at Pine Island Country Club in Pinehurst, N.C.

    Andrew Jackson stayed unbeaten in the Class AA Upper State District I baseball playoffs with a 4-1 home win over Abbeville on Saturday, May 2.

    The Vols, 14-6, were boosted by an ace pitching effort from right-hander Kipp Rollings, who worked seven frames and struck out seven. He allowed an earned run and five hits.
