    The LHS girls of coach Ronnie Robinson, unranked in the preseason Class AAA girls state poll, are No. 2 in the latest Class AAA girls state poll.

     COLUMBIA – Sophomore guard Sindarius Thornwell was named SEC Player of the Week after averaging 12 points, 6.5 rebounds and two assists as the Gamecocks downed North Carolina A&T and No. 9 Iowa State.

    Lancaster put the finishing touches on its participation in the 15th annual Linberg Moody Holiday Classic, taking a 54-42 win over Class AAA Lakewood High School of Sumter County on Thursday, Jan. 1 at Northwestern High School in Rock Hill.

    BOONETOWN – Buford bounced back from an 87-82 loss in the North Central Christmas Tournament to win the consolation game with a 75-47 win over Robert E. Lee Academy on Tuesday, Dec. 30.

    BHS fell to Lugoff-Elgin by five in the tourney’s opening round, but rebounded in a big way on Tuesday night at NCHS.

  • Bruins rebound in Moody tourney

     

    The Lancaster Bruins rebounded from a tough two-point loss to Blythewood High School to down Covenant Day of Charlotte, 64-44 on Tuesday, Dec. 30 in the 15th annual Linberg Moody Holiday Classic at Northwestern High School.

  • Lady Bruins top York field

     

    The Lancaster Lady Bruins stayed unbeaten on the season, downing Class AAAA Greenwood High School for the Bank of York/Wingbonz girls basketball tournament championship on Tuesday, Dec. 30 at York High School.

    The Lady Bruins, 12-0, rolled over the Greenwood Lady Eagles, 64-56 to take the win.
