Jeff Smith won the battle to win the first-ever Clash South Tour race at Lancaster Motor Speedway on Saturday night.
“I had great horsepower under the hood and we were fast tonight,” Smith said in victory lane.
Smith was able to net $4,000 for the 40-lap win.
Ross Bailes, in his No. 87, set the fastest time in qualifying, 18.540. The time was a new track record, topping Dennis Franklin’s 18.573 set in September of 2008. The second-fastest time was set by the No. 09 of Johnny Pursley in 18.708.
