    The first Lancaster High School alumni basketball game was a slam dunk.

    The event, held Saturday, April 12 in the Lancaster High School gym, included three games – a women’s game along with two men’s contests.

    Friday, April 18 was not a good day for the University of South Carolina Lancaster  baseball team.

    The Lancers dropped both ends of a NJCAA Region X twin bill to visiting Pitt Community College at the Lancaster High School baseball field.

    The Lancers, coming off three losses in four game with Region X foe Florence-Darlington Tech last weekend, were hoping for better results in their return home.

    The two losses dropped the Lancers to 30-17 overall, 14-9 in Region X play.

    KERSHAW – The Andrew Jackson High golfers drove to their 14th straight victory of the season Thursday evening, April 10 as Andrew Jackson defeated Great Falls and Cheraw.

    The Vols shot a 167, while Cheraw carded a 187 and Great Falls had a 214.

    Andrew Jackson’s Logan Sowell and Great Falls’ Josh Payseur were co-medalists with a score of even par 36.
