    The Lancaster High School girls soccer team has produced a landmark season on the pitch and the Lady Bruins hope to add more milestones as the state playoffs open this week.

    The Lady Bruins, 15-6, 9-5 in region play, are ranked No. 15 in the latest Class AAAA girls state soccer poll.

  • Warriors runners-up in region...

     

    The IL boys, with 127 points, finished second in the Region IV-AA meet at Warrior Stadium on Monday, May 5.

    The Warriors were led by John Gregory, first in the 400 meters with 1:00.20, and Manny Delgado, first in the 110 hurdles in 16.14.

  • Lady Warriors second in Region...

     

    The Indian Land girls placed second in the Region IV-AA track meet at Warrior Stadium on Monday, May 5.

    The IL girls, with 111 points, were led by by Mikayla Wallace, first in the 200-meter dash, 27.57; Morgan Engstrom, first in the 3200 in 13:57.05 and Dasaira Benjamin, first in the shot 28-05.

  • Bruins notch three region track...

     

    Three Lancaster High Bruins captured region championships at the recent Region III-AAAA track meet.

    Junior Yasmine Robinson won her first region title in the discus event. Her throw of 105 feet was good enough to take the women’s title, and qualify for the state qualifying meet Saturday, May 10.

    KERSHAW – A split in two games of survival was enough to keep the Andrew Jackson Lady Volunteers’ Class AA Upper State softball hopes alive Wednesday, May 7 at the AJ field.

    The Andrew Jackson High Volunteer golf team capped an undefeated season with a second straight Region IV-AA tournament championship at Kershaw Golf Club on Tuesday, May 6.

    AJ, 25-0, is now 17-0 in region play for the 2014 season.

    BUFORD – Indian Land, in a do-or-die situation, delivered twice to stay alive in postseason baseball play.

    The surging Warriors advanced to the Class AA Upper State championship baseball series with a sweep of Buford at Buford Park on Wednesday, May 7.

    Lancaster Super Speedway will feature an exciting night of racing at the big half-mile dirt track.

    The major draw for Saturday night at LSS is in the SECA Crate Late Model Division.

  • Owls sign Bruins' Patterson

     

    In nine seasons at Lancaster High School, Bruins basketball coach Ricardo Priester has had 12 players sign to play college basketball.

    The latest is LHS senior E.J. Patterson who is headed to Warren Wilson College in Swannanoa, N.C., to play for the Owls.

    The Lancaster Lady Bruins will wrap up regular-season Region III-AAAA soccer play today as they visit Northwestern in league play.

    The Lady Bruins are coming off a 4-1 win over Clover to give the Lancaster girls a season’s sweep of the Lady Blue Eagles.
