    The defending champions repeated the feat in the third annual Pregnancy Care Center golf tournament on Saturday at the Lancaster Golf Club.The team of Jeff Reynolds, the two-time club champion, along with former seniors club champion Danny Reynolds, Brian Turner and Douglas Pate teamed for a 14-under 58 over 18 holes to take the title for the second straight year.“The event went great,” said Rev.     Lancaster area Clemson University football fans said they weren’t stunned with the resignation of Tigers’ head football coach Tommy Bowden.Bowden, the Tigers’ head coach for the last 10 seasons, resigned Monday following meetings with Clemson athletic director Terry Don Phillips.“I really thought something was coming down,” said Kevin Sowell, a 1994 Clemson graduate and a 13-year member of IPTAY, Clemson’s athletic booster organization.

Keenan Raiders lived up to their mascot of prey, forcing four Andrew Jackson turnovers that led to a 34-21 Region IV-AA homecoming football win at Bolden Stadium in Columbia on Friday night.Keenan’s Arthur Goforth torched the Volunteers with 234 yards rushing and three touchdowns.   • Carlton's versatile for IL

    INDIAN LAND - Indian Land High School's Chad Carlton, true to his "Hooch" nickname, just keeps on rolling.

    Carlton, a senior two-way starter for the Warriors, received his moniker from his father, Bryan, who took it from the 1993 Alan Jackson country hit, "Way Down Yonder On The Chattahoochee," an ever flowing river which means so much to the singer.

    "For us, "Hooch" just has a way of delivering no matter what the situation calls for in practice, or a game," Indian Land head football coach Mike Mayer said.
