    Lancaster High School girls basketball coach Ronnie Robinson says his team thrives on defense.

  • C.J. Frye new AJ head coach

    C.J. Frye, a veteran coach with high school and college coaching experience, is the new head football coach at Andrew Jackson High School.

    Frye was approved by the Lancaster County School District Board of Trustees at the Tuesday, Feb. 24 meeting.

  • Lady Bruins advance to Upstate...

    The No. 1 ranked Lancaster High School Lady Bruins, 25-0, used a late defensive stand to deliver a thrilling 41-40 home win over fifth-rated Southside High School of Greenville in the third round of the Class AAA Upper State basketball playoffs on Monday, Feb. 23.

    LHS, with three fouls to give, held off Southside with back-to-back fouls on the inbounds to leave the Lady Tigers only two seconds to get off a desperation shot.

    The 2015 Lancaster Bruins are shooting to be more competitive and improve on a 2-14 finish last baseball season.

    LHS, guided by first-year head coach Toby Taylor, has his share of players back from last season and the Bruins will be looking to post more wins in an effort to compete for the region crown.

    INDIAN LAND – Comebacks have been the key for the Indian Land High Lady Warriors in their two Class AA Upper State playoff wins.

    The IL girls, for the second straight postseason game, overcame a slow start to rally for a win in the Class AA Upper State basketball playoffs.

    The top-rated Lancaster High Lady Bruins took control early to post a 52-39 win over Lower Richland in the second round of the Class AAA Upper State girls basketball playoffs.

    The Buford High girls’ basketball season came to a quick and tough halt on the hardwood Wednesday, Feb. 19.

    Host Keenan High School of Columbia, the runner-up team in Region III-AAA, opened an early lead and stayed in control for a 53-22 win over the Lady Jackets.
