  • Lancaster Motor Speedway set for action

    Saturday night, July 14, should be an exciting night at Lancaster Motor Speedway with seven divisions competing in the Vintage Venegance part 2.
    During this special race, the No. 45 Purple Mustang of Marty Spittle will have to start in the rear of the field after winning three in a row. Spittle charged from the rear of the field Saturday night on his way to winning his third straight.

  • I-77 Speedway to host Carolina Clash SLM

    CHESTER – I-77 Speedway is set to host the Carolina Clash Super Late Model series Saturday, July 14.
    This will mark the series first visit to the 33-year-old speedway. The stars of the Carolina Clash will battle it out on the high banks of I-77 Speedway for the $4,000 top prize. With no other touring series in action on Saturday, a large number of drivers are expected. Luke Roffers, the current points leader for 2012 will be there, along with Dennis “Rambo” Franklin, Jeff Smith, Ricky Weeks, Johnny Pursley, Ross Bailes and $20,000 man Scott Autry.

  • Laney captures FWD/UCAR main event win

    There was plenty of racing action Saturday night at Lancaster Motor Speedway.
    David “Porkchop” Motes and Joseph Laney were in the front row for the FWD/UCAR main event. When the green flag dropped, Motes, Joseph Laney, David Laney and Mel Privette all battled for the lead entering turn one.

  • Limited Late Models headline Saturday dirt-track races

    Lancaster Super Speedway roars back into racing action Saturday, Aug. 2, with six exciting divisions. The Late Models (Limited Late Models) will headline the program.
    Other divisions racing will be Pro Street, the ever-popular Deal 1 Auto Sales Crate Sportsman, the fan-favorite Super Street, the wild M&M Garage Extreme 4 and U.S. Bonding Vintage.
    Lancaster Super Speedway admission for Saturday, Aug. 2, is $20 for the pits and $12 for the grandstands.
    Pit gates open at 4 p.m., with the grandstand gates to open at 5 p.m.

  • Speedway hosts Buddy Crook Memorial on Saturday night

     

    Lancaster Super Speedway returns to racing Saturday night, July 26 for the Buddy Crook Memorial race.

    The LSS track was quiet last week when rain forced the track to cancel its July 19 slate.

  • Limited Late Models return to LSS

     

    The Limited Late Models will return to Lancaster Super Speedway on Saturday, July 19.

    The Limited Late Models were slated to run earlier this season at the big half-mile track, but the race was cancelled due to teams unable to make the field for the scheduled event.

  • Summertime racing heats up

    Lancaster Super Speedway roars back into racing action Saturday night, July 12, with some real summer heat.
    You could tell the racing season was heating up last Saturday, July 5, as tempers flared at the track all night long.
    This week, the SECA Crate Late Models return with a $1,250 pot going to the main event winner and a $250 bonus to the highest finishing non-winner from the 2014 racing season.

    Lancaster Super Speedway will host the 1st Franklin Financial Firecracker Spectacular on Saturday, July 5 at the half-mile dirt oval.

    The event will be highlighted by a major fireworks during intermission.
