  • Lancaster Motor Speedway set for action

    Saturday night, July 14, should be an exciting night at Lancaster Motor Speedway with seven divisions competing in the Vintage Venegance part 2.
    During this special race, the No. 45 Purple Mustang of Marty Spittle will have to start in the rear of the field after winning three in a row. Spittle charged from the rear of the field Saturday night on his way to winning his third straight.

  • I-77 Speedway to host Carolina Clash SLM

    CHESTER – I-77 Speedway is set to host the Carolina Clash Super Late Model series Saturday, July 14.
    This will mark the series first visit to the 33-year-old speedway. The stars of the Carolina Clash will battle it out on the high banks of I-77 Speedway for the $4,000 top prize. With no other touring series in action on Saturday, a large number of drivers are expected. Luke Roffers, the current points leader for 2012 will be there, along with Dennis “Rambo” Franklin, Jeff Smith, Ricky Weeks, Johnny Pursley, Ross Bailes and $20,000 man Scott Autry.

  • Laney captures FWD/UCAR main event win

    There was plenty of racing action Saturday night at Lancaster Motor Speedway.
    David “Porkchop” Motes and Joseph Laney were in the front row for the FWD/UCAR main event. When the green flag dropped, Motes, Joseph Laney, David Laney and Mel Privette all battled for the lead entering turn one.
    Joseph Laney led Motes, David Laney and Mel Privette exiting turn two.

  • LSS set to host six racing divisions Saturday night

     

    The Lancaster Super Speedway caps the June schedule with six divisions of racing Saturday, June 27.

    The LSS card is highlighted by the return of the SECA Crate Late Model Division, Faith Funderburke Realty Super Stock, Deal 1 Auto Sales SECA Crate Sportsman, Cauthen Motors Renegades, U.S. Bonding Vintage and M&M Garage Extreme.

    Action last week, June 20, provided some of the best racing of the season as some tempers were flaring as well.

    Travis Sharpe captured the second annual Buddy Crook Memorial Race, featuring the Monster Minis at Lancaster Super Speedway on Saturday, June 20.

    The Monster Minis front row for the $2,500-to-win Buddy Crook Memorial had Wes Helms and Nick Walker.

  • LSS hosts Crook Memorial

     

    Lancaster Super Speedway will be honoring one of its true track legends Saturday, June 20.

    The half-mile dirt track will host the second annual Buddy Crook Memorial race in memory of the LSS racing legend.

  • Hodges wins, nets Baker bounty

     

    Brent Hodges earned the Baker bounty, taking the checkers in the Faith Funderburke Realty Super Stock main event Saturday, June 13.

    The front row had Joseph Richardson and Artie Brownell, and at the green flag Richardson, Brownell, Johnny Starkey and Hodges battled for the lead entering turn one.

    Lancaster Super Speedway roars back into action Saturday night, June 13.

    All rainout tickets from this past Saturday night, June 6, will be honored Saturday.

  • Rain a pain at LSS on Saturday night

     

    Mother Nature dominated the action at Lancaster Super Speedway on Saturday, June 7.

    Lancaster Super Speedway officials were able to get all the heat races completed in every division and were on track to start qualifying for the SECA Crate Late Model division and it started to rain.
