  • Alexus Motes captures first career win

    Alexus Motes highlighted racing action at Lancaster Super Speedway, taking her first career win in the M&M Garage Extreme 4 non-winners race Saturday night.
    Motes and the W12 car of Keith Woolford battled for the top spot when the green flag waved. Woolford grabbed the early lead, while Motes gave chase.
    As the laps ticked off, Motes started to run down Woolford.
    Coming to the white flag, Motes was all over Woolford’s back bumper, pushing him down the front straightaway.

  • Bounty Night at speedway Saturday

    This Saturday night is Bounty Night and Bonus Money at Lancaster Super Speedway.
    Speedway owner Doug McManus put up a $100 bounty on the Bakers (Andrew and Brandy) in the Montgomery Towing Super Stock Division.
    Then two more sponsors stepped up and put up more bounty money on the Bakers. Swankyville and Rocky's Electric have put up $100 each to any driver who can beat the Bakers this Saturday night, for a total bounty of $300.

  • Mangum notches two checkers at LSS

    Veteran driver Timbo Mangum dashed to a pair of wins to highlight action at Lancaster Super Speedway on Saturday night.
    Mangum and Benji Knight were on the front row for the SECA Crate Late Model main. When the green flag dropped, Knight, Mangum, Brandy Baker and Travis Steele roared into turn one battling for the lead. Exiting turn two, Mangum, Knight, Steele and Baker battled for the top spot.
    As the laps ticked off, it became a three-car battle as Mangum, Knight and Steele began to distance themselves from the rest of the field.

  • SECA Crate Late Models, Late Models headline racing

    Lancaster Super Speedway, coming off one of its top racing nights of the 2016 season, will feature the SECA Crate Late Models and Late Models racing together Saturday night.
    This combination is an idea LSS owner Doug McManus has been considering as some of the Late Model drivers have asked him to do this due to the SECA Crate Late Models and Late Model times are similar.
    The admission prices are $25 for the pits and $12 for the grandstands. Pit gates open at 4 p.m. and 5 for grandstands.

  • Andrew Baker posts two wins at LSS on Saturday

    A return to racing at Lancaster Super Speedway featured some of the top action of the 2016 season.
    Veteran driver Andrew Baker highlighted the night, taking two wins.
    u The Montgomery Towing Super Stock main event front row had Matthew Cauthen and Brandy Baker.
    At the green flag, Brandy Baker, Cauthen, Andrew Baker and Justin Norwood roared into turn one battling for the lead.
    Some early race cautions halted action, but once the race got rolling, it was Cauthen, Brandy Baker, Andrew Baker and Norwood in a lead battle.

  • Langley nets first Super Late Model win

    Josh Langley was all smiles Saturday night after capturing his first career Super Late Model win with the Ultimate Super Late Models Power Satellite 40 at Toccoa Raceway in Georgia.
    Langley’s Super Late Model checkers earned him $4,000 with the 40-lap victory at the Georgia track.
    “It was good to win and I’m thrilled to get that first one,” Langley said. “We have had our share of tough luck, so this win really was exciting.
    “It was great to get the win at a tough track and against a top field.”

  • Storm halts racing action again

    Rain dominated for a second straight week as racing action at Lancaster Super Speedway was washed out.
    The LSS hot laps for the June 4 action were about to get rolling when the rain picked up and forced the LSS staff to cancel the racing night.
    Racing action returns, with the future cast for the weather looking much better.
    Fans and drivers with rain-out tickets from the May 28 race will need to bring their tickets/arm bands from that race for free admission Saturday night.
    The admission prices are $25 for the pits and $12 for the grandstands.

  • Monster Mini’s set for Saturday run at LSS

    Lancaster Super Speedway action was rained out Saturday night, but a special attraction is on tap this week after the May 28 postponement.
    LSS racing Saturday was halfway through the heat races when the rain came.
    Following the rain out, track officials are focusing on Saturday, June 4 when Lancaster Super Speedway is set to host one of the most popular series in the Carolinas, the Race Engineering Monster Mini’s 4-Cylinder Series.

  • Racing is back on track Saturday night at LSS

    Racing action is slated to return to Lancaster Super Speedway on Saturday night.
    The LSS action will feature six divisions of racing on the card.
    The action will be highlighted by the SECA Crate Late Model Division paying $800 to win.
    The SECA Crate Late Model Division is regarded as one of the fan favorites due some of the track’s most popular drivers racing in the division each week.

    Lancaster Super Speedway will return to action Saturday night when the big half-mile swings back to racing after a weekend off.
    The racing action will be headlined by the SECA Crate Late Model Division, one of the most popular divisions at Lancaster due to some of the fan favorites racing in the division.
    The Saturday racing card also features the Montgomery Towing Super Stock, Deal 1 Auto Sales SECA Crate Sportsman, Cauthen Motors Renegades, U.S. Bonding Vintage and M&M Garage Extreme 4.
